![]() ![]() ![]() The writing was so good that I could visualize it as if I was standing right along with them. There is a scene in the book where the boy and his mother are walking up to an old farm house. ![]() I felt like the authors writing style was amazing. This story intrigued me because it was a world where humans new about the supernatural creatures they labeled as “Others” They lived amongst each other. His father on the other hand I wanted to crawl into this book and beat the crap out of him then just go and snuggle that poor child. The boy, which is what he is called in the book is still just a boy in my eyes, yet he was treated like a grown man. This book broke my heart over and over again. Right from the get go I was horrified by the cruelty that a person could show a child. I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. ![]() In a menacing world filled with threats and hate, is there any hope of salvation for this orphaned fledgling?
